About Ines Robles
Parenthood can be a challenging road, even when you’ve already gone through it before. It’s difficult to navigate between one’s dreams and expectations of pregnancy/childbirth vs. reality, which can look completely different. Parenthood is a time of constant transition from conception to childbirth and beyond. Thoughts of trauma and loss can also come up during this stage of your life. It doesn’t matter how many books you’ve read, how prepared you think you are or how excited you are/were about this new chapter in your life, it can still be difficult to manage so many emotions. That’s all very normal!
Through a trauma-informed lens, I help individuals gain insight into their past and present to be better prepared for their future. I use reflection and exploration to help clients navigate their relationship with parents, children, partners and friends. I offer you a compassionate and safe environment where you can be yourself and have those difficult conversations. Allow yourself to be heard and held as you navigate a roller-coaster of emotions. Life is not easy, but I'm here to support you!
My Experience
I specialize in working with children and families who have experienced challenges throughout their lives. I treat children and adults who have endured severe traumatic events such as interpersonal violence (IPV), natural disasters, community violence and violence of different kinds. I also work with people who are struggling with everyday challenges such as having a new baby, navigating the difficult journey of parenthood or just dealing with a transition in life. It doesn’t matter if what you are facing seems big or small, if it’s challenging for you, it deserves to be addressed. In addition to working with individuals navigating life, I also provide reflective supervision/consulation to clinicians who need extra support in their work and to build their supervision hours for their license and certifications. The work that clinicians do is very impactful and is not meant to be done alone. Therefore, I provide a safe and collaborative environment where clinicians can get the support they need.
I am a bilingual clinical social worker with extensive experience working with children and adults. My training specializes in perinatal and infant mental health. I am endorsed by the New York Association of Infant Mental Health (NYS-AIMS) as an Infant Mental Health Specialist and Reflective Supervisor (IMH-E®); I’m also certified as a Perinatal Mental Health clinician by Postpartum Support International. In addition, I am a training Child Parent Psychotherapist and Perinatal Child Parent Psychotherapist.
I am also trained by Circle of Support International to facilitate
parenting groups.
